The £1,000,000 Urgency Secret

Injecting urgency into your offers is probably the easiest way to make more money insanely quickly in your business.

Just don’t do it like everyone else, or you’ll end up cheapening your biz (like how certain furniture companies have some sort of sale on 24/7).

If you’ve done a good job writing your copy/scripts and positioning your offer, now you NEED to give them a reason to act now.

And that could be as simple as a flash sale, so long as they’re not frequent…

But the real secret is:

Stacking value + selling to emotion + adding urgency. It’s unbelievably powerful when you do it RIGHT.

Most marketers slap on fake urgency like a lazy chef throwing too much salt into a dish.

ONLY 3 SPOTS LEFT!” (Yeah, sure.)

LIMITED TIME OFFER!” (Been saying that for six months.)

And what happens? People see right through it. Their trust in your brand erodes faster than an ice cube on a summer sidewalk.

Real urgency isn’t a trick...

It’s about making someone realise that not acting now is a painful mistake.

Here’s how:

1. Tie Urgency to a Real-World Event

Flash sales work, but only when they’re rare. Black Friday? Yearly event.

A product launch with early-bird pricing? Smart.

A training program with a deadline because the cohort starts on Monday? Even better.

People trust real reasons, not made-up scarcity.

2. Stack the Value

If your offer is already positioned as a no-brainer, adding a limited-time bonus skyrockets urgency.

Example: “Sign up today and get an exclusive 1-on-1 strategy call that’s helped 100+ people add £4000 - £15,000 to their MRR every month.”

That’s tangible, that’s real. And when it disappears?

They FEEL the loss.

3. Trigger an Emotional Response £1,000,000

People don’t buy logically; they justify logically. Extremely important distinction.

They of course, buy emotionally.

If you can paint a picture of their pain getting worse because they hesitated, or how much better their life/business will be if they act NOW, you’re golden.

Think about this.

Would you rather buy a course that says “Enrol today and gain access to 50 lessons,"

Or one that says

“Imagine closing your laptop in 30 days knowing your business is finally profitable, all because you took action today”?

4. Use Social Proof as the Final Push

Urgency works best when combined with FOMO.

Showcase testimonials, results, and success stories. Let them SEE people just like them winning, and suddenly, the fear of missing out does the heavy lifting.

5. Make the Cost of Inaction Clear

Instead of only selling the benefits, make them feel the pain of staying where they are.

Every day you wait, consuming more ‘content’ is a day you lose potential revenue.

Others are getting ahead while you hesitate.”

It’s not false, it's the reality of inaction. The best of the best can do this very artfully and it’s beautiful to see.

Final Thought: Urgency Without Desperation

The goal isn’t to force someone into a bad decision. It’s to get them off the fence if they already want what you’re offering. Ethical urgency is the difference between a business that thrives and one that constantly chases customers who never convert.

Apply this framework, and you’ll see just how powerful urgency can be when done RIGHT.

P.S. I’m going to be putting together some sales stuff in the future as well as marketing.
