Ranking Secret...

Google is SUPER weird when it comes to what businesses it will choose to show you when you type in "Xyz near me".

If you typed in "dentist near me" on Google search, for example, it's never a linear path from closest to furthest.

It highly favours businesses that have built the most trust with Google.

I HIGHLY recommend having Google trust you, by the way, because it means Google wants to show you off to as many people as it can organically.

Which translates into more clicks, more calls and more business for you - without any ad spend.

Anyway, this algorithm is based on a few different things. Won't get into all of them now... Would be a long enough read.

BUT... I'll tell you a cool ranking "secret" that pretty much none of your competitors know.

One of the ways Google will view you as a trustworthy business is if you have links on trusted sites and directories that Google sees as... Well, trustworthy.

For example, Yell.com is an easy one.

We have a long list of these we help get clients on as standard, plus local business directories.

Here's a couple of weird ones:

Apple Maps + BMW.

Not the BMW site or anything, but their nav software.

Google trusts these sources highly, so if they point to YOUR business... They trust you a LOT more, and it makes a big difference to how high you'll rank on Google.
