Have you ever been doing stuff online, when you notice the same ads running over and over again?
Well ladies and gentleman, the reason for that is because the government have installed tiny microphones in your home and... only joking (Maybe). Anyway, it's called ‘retargeting’, and you can make a lot of money with it if you do it right.
It basically makes sure that when you show even a hint of interest in something, that you end up getting ads related to that field.
Now there’s a smart way to use retargeting, which isn’t spammy or annoying and can make getting highly interested leads a breeze, so we’ll be shooting into how to approach that in this article.
If you don’t use ‘retargeting’, you’re losing out on a sh!tload of clients
Your target audience is just like you and me. They’re busy, they get distracted and they have endless things they could be doing at any given time.
But if doing stuff online is one of those things, then they also could very well find themselves getting in touch with you at the exact moment that they come across one of your brilliant ads...
So long as they’ve been shopping around for possible solutions to whatever problem they're facing, and your ad happens to convey the right info that persuades them to take action.
But what about the people who are in your target audience, who don’t end up following through with you at that particular moment?
Maybe they have other concerns, maybe they need more info and don’t want to commit to taking any action just yet.
Well, if you don’t use retargeting in the correct way, you’ll end up losing those customers.
So let’s get into how to make sure that doesn’t happen to you.
So how do you get them to choose you?
In order to sell to your customers, you need to understand what’s going through their mind.
Even if they have seen your ad, the attention span of the prospect is fairly short. Which means luck isn’t on your side when it comes to getting them to remember you when they click off.
And unless you sell something that people buy on impulse, like ice cream, they probably have a few questions and hesitations about where to go to solve their problem.
So instead of just showing them the same ad over and over again, we’re going to give them new information, and hit them with new selling points which will close the knowledge gap and lead them into taking action.
If you have multiple videos, each highlighting something important that would help them out, then naturally, the odds of them getting in touch with you over anyone else will skyrocket.
At that point, selling becomes much easier too, since you’ve given them the most value from your content.
